A week or so ago Perry Alliman and I shot photographs of the Dale County Horse Show in Ozark, AL. It was a great time and I really enjoyied the learning experience of shooting horses and the challenge of the environment. The light was constantly changing and we had to adjust to optimize the shots. We shot a combined total of 2000+ shots!!!

Finally! I’ve updated the site with galleries form recent wedding shoots. I’ve had so much fun shooting these so far this year. I suppose that it can truely be said that 2009 is the year of the wedding shoot for me. Check them out here. Since the recent aquisition of a new high-power tele-zoom lens I have become much more interested in photographing wildlife. I find it both challenging and rewarding.

On a side note identifying birds can be even more challenging than photographing them. I never realized how many species are distinguishable by only the most minute of details. I stumbled upon this while attempting to ID this bird-of-prey, which I believe to be one of two types of hawks resident to SE Alabama, but I don’t have a trained eye for ID-ing birds.
